How to read a research paper with the question still in view
A practical reading method for following the source, experimental setting, measurements and uncertainty behind a research conclusion.
Read resourceResource pillar / 02
Follow the model, tissue and measured endpoint in research on repair and recovery.

A reading direction
Start with the tissue, biological setting and comparison being made. A study may measure cell migration, an inflammatory marker, wound closure in an animal model or a human outcome. Those findings answer different questions and should stay separate.
A useful reading record includes the challenge or stimulus, the control group, the observation period and the actual endpoint. State whether the work is in vitro, animal or human research before describing what it suggests about repair or recovery.
